Skin Application Instructions
For the new iPad / iPad 2 - Matte Print Skins

STEP 1: Preparation

Find a clean, dust-free table or desk with good lighting and plenty of space to work. Wash your hands to remove any grease or natural oils and dry them thoroughly before application process.

STEP 2: Clean iPad

With a soft cotton or microfiber cloth, gently clean your device making sure to wipe away any dust or debris. If needed, slightly dampen your cloth with water for a more thorough clean.

STEP 3: Peel

Peel the clear application tape from its liner backing. As you peel, the Adaptation skin will stay attached to tape leaving its adhesive backing exposed on opposite side. Avoid the adhesive touching anything to prevent small particles from sticking to it (which will leave little bumps when applying to device).

STEP 4: Position and Place

Using the application tape, gently guide the skin onto your device paying attention to button / camera cutouts and screen edges to inform placement. Turn on your device to see if it's aligned properly with screen. If not, gently pull up and reposition until satisfied.

STEP 5: Apply Pressure

Once properly aligned, apply pressure to the skin areas to make sure it’s firmly attached to your device.

STEP 6: Remove Tape

Slowly remove the tape by ‘rolling’ it off while applying downward pressure - almost like you‘re bookmarking a page. The greater angle of bend, the easier the tape peels off. To prevent skin from pulling up with tape, use the Adaptation folded card to keep skin in place. This technique prevents the skin from stretching, which you want to avoid at all costs (stretching will ruin the skin's precision fit).  After tape is removed, smooth out any air bubbles & press skin firmly in place. Repeat steps 1 - 6 for the back skin and you’re finished!
